Star are recruiting for a Regional Market Access Manager to work in the HIV, Hepatitis B and Oncology portfolios. While predominantly focusing on the HIV portfolio, your time will be split between the three therapy areas, covering the North of the country including the North East, North West, Leeds and Sheffield. The role will require the candidate to work in close collaboration and partnership with the company's existing Regional Market Access and National Market Access trams. This exciting new role is customer-facing and the main focus is to ensure access of company medicines at a regional, area team and trust level. The role also requires the candidate to implement company value propositions and access strategies with a broad range of payer and clinical customers, in order to achieve access for the company portfolio.

Key responsibilities of a Regional Market Access Manager include:

* Working with Payers and Clinical budget-holders and influencers in the NHS to ensure appropriate patients access to company medicines
* Managing payer environment and removing obstacles or blocks to funding or service elements
* Creating the environment where appropriate budget/funding is available for the current and future company portfolio and regional, area team and account levels
* Building and implementing regional account plans for decision-making units across the specified region
* A deep understanding of the Payer Influencer Network within individual DMUs
* Close, proactive collaboration with multiple company teams to ensure alignment between national and regional/local plans
* Scoping out the potential opportunities for the company within the changing NHs environment and developed healthcare approaches
* Collaborating with government affairs as appropriate to ensure an aligned message is delivered to NHS and government stakeholders and that national policy initiatives are implemented at local level
* Identifying opportunities for demonstrating the value of company medicines through joint working projects/real world evidence/service re-design

The ideal candidate would have/be:

* A deep understanding of NHS financial flows and local/regional decision making units - particularly with respect to Specialised Commissioning
* A good understanding of commercial tendering within NHS/financial acumen and commercial awareness
* A track record of turning insight into positive action
* Highly numerate with demonstrable ability to have peer-to-peer, articulate and financially-based conversational with senior level stakeholders
* Influencing and negotiation skills
* Proven interpersonal and relationship building skills
* The ability to lead a team
* Proven delivery of successful outcomes in the payer environment ensuring access
* Previous pharmaceutical market access/key account management experience is essential
* Be educated to degree level with relevant experience in the healthcare industry/NHS
* Experience of working in the NHS in a payer role would be advantageous, but not essential
* A broad knowledge of HIV, HCV and Oncology therapy areas
