Regional Business Manager - South East England - permanent opportunity

Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company that's looking for an experienced Regional Business Manager to join their successful team and help to achieve regional sales targets. The Regional Business Manager will also be fully responsible for implementing the integrated regional business plan and managing a team of Vaccine Account Managers responsible for vaccine sales, advocacy development and stakeholder networking.

The Regional Business Manager's key responsibilities will include:

* Create a business environment between the different team roles that encourages product growth and opportunities for all in-line products
* Ensure all relevant key regional NHS decision makers are identified and contacted as appropriate
* Implement and monitor adherence to the regional business plan, including CSP profiling
* Ensure all regional advocacy plans and databases are implemented and updated
* Manage the allocation of people and financial resources to ensure maximum return on investment within budget
* Convert strategic plans into sales tactics in order to achieve regional business objectives
* Gather and analyse relevant information to manage individual and regional performances (sales, activity and budget)
* Provide accurate and timely responses to all departments in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and in order that any necessary action may be taken

Candidate should have/be:

* Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably with a science background
* Proven sales experience in healthcare / pharmaceutical / biotech industry, combined with experience in a sales management or dedicated coaching role
* ABPI qualified with a detailed understanding of ABPI Code of Practice and its practical application in a business environment
* Experience of successfully leading a sales team to achieve business targets
* Possesses excellent vaccines knowledge including competitor knowledge
* Key account management skills - demonstrate the ability to understand the systems and processes and resources available internally and bring in the right expertise at the right time to drive commercial sales success locally
* Working knowledge of the NHS environment and strategy in particular, local decision-making processes and funding flows and its impact on the vaccines business
* Excellent, demonstrable influencing and communication skills that build effective customer relationships and create local broad advocacy
* Strong team player with the ability to effectively manage team members to achieve their role objectives by engaging in strong performance management processes
* Able to successfully work independently and take individual accountability for actions and results
* Proven commercial acumen, driven by clear insight and understanding of the business market dynamics and the ability to recognise and address urgent issues
* Good level of organisational and analytical skills
