Senior Medical Writer - London

Our client is an award winning Medical Communications agency based in West London who have enjoyed impressive expansion since their inception in 2008. They have now become a trusted and established partner of choice for the majority of pharmaceutical companies medical education needs.


Tasks will involve medical and scientific writing, reviewing and editing of documents, medical communication plans, slide development and reviews conference summaries and write ups, internal document development, internal policy development, scientific and strategic input and liaison with clients & external experts
Manage each assigned project, keeping the client and team informed as to the progress of the project.
Strategic and scientific input in meetings and project development.
Manage and plan projects in line with agreed budgets
Management and development of product communication plans
Review and edit documents developed for internal and external use.
Develop medical and clinical training materials
Work with other team members to agree timelines and project plans
Support and mentor junior members of staff
Manage and oversee the work of junior members of staff and develop performance plans for staff in accordance with company and personal objectives
Manage, develop and maintain project budgets where appropriate

Client Responsibilities
Liaise with clients to keep them informed of the progress of projects and to amend the brief where requested by the client or necessary.
Input to client discussions on management and development of product and medical training briefs
Develop proposals and budgets for clients in line with company pricing structure.
Attend client meetings where necessary
External Responsibilities
Liaise other agencies working on same product and project mange agency timelines to achieve client agreed goals
Attend agency meetings where necessary
Identify potential resourcing problems and to organise external contractors/ suppliers where necessary.

Business Development
Identify potential new customers and develop proposals for new business and attend pitches where necessary.
