We are now looking for a Sales professional to strengthen the existing Dispensing Doctor Sales team for the challenges ahead in the changing wholesale market. In this role you will be responsible for both member and non-member dispensing doctor accounts within your territory. Developing new business opportunities, you will deliver benefits to our members by regular customer contact as well as managing the wholesale turnover generated by the practices.
Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of Dispensing Doctor Sales and of the wider GP and NHS market and will be competent in all Microsoft Office applications. Previous sales experience would be advantageous and possess ABPI qualification or prepared to study for and gain qualification according to ABPI guidelines. You will be joining a highly motivated team so therefore the ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate good communication, time management and organisational skills.
The hours of work are 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm with an unpaid break of 60 minutes; however the successful applicant will need a fully flexible approach to working hours as this role will involve extensive travel throughout the region. You must hold a full UK driving license.

Manage the Dispensing Doctor practices within East Anglia region (defined territory)
Develop new business opportunities within the territory, from both existing members and nonmember practices.
Deliver benefits to PSUK members by regular customer contact, supported and guided by your line manager and PSUK.
Manage the wholesale turnover generated by the practices within the territory.
Provide business support for the members, assisting them to navigate through new NHS strategy and fiscal demands.
Develop a wider understanding of NHS pressures and to create opportunities within the territory.
Any other duties as deemed reasonable by your line manager, to support the role and the wider team objectives PSUK strategies.
Key Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5 GCSE’s or equivalent including Maths and English
Experience of working in a customer facing sales role.
Experience of working in a sales environment
Understanding of current issues facing pharmaceutical wholesalers Knowledge
Competent in Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint to an intermediate standard.
Effective and efficient communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good organizational and planning skills
Effective time management skills
Ability to work on their own and part of a team
Full UK Drivers Licence
The position will cover East Anglia.
