Our client is one of the few pharmaceutical groups in the world to master various advanced bioproduction techniques, and is an expert in plasma-derived medicinal products, ranking 6th worldwide and 1st in France in this field.

As part of their expansion, they are actively seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison to join their expanding UK team. In this role you will also have some responsibilities for the German market.

Main responsibilities:

* Development and maintenance of medical and scientific knowledge:
* Contribute to the assessment of medical and scientific team needs within the therapy area
* Provide therapy area training as appropriate
* Develop/increase personal and team knowledge of medical literature and critical appraisal of scientific publications
* Attend and report on relevant regional, national and international scientific meetings as assigned
* Maintain personal and team expertise in relevant disease areas and an awareness of medical best practices
* Provide credible scientific expertise
* Relationship management:
* Through appropriate scientific exchange build and maintain professional relationships with relevant medical and scientific stakeholders
* Respond effectively to requests for medical information and scientific exchange and coordinate responses within a defined timeline
* Develop appropriate responses to unique enquiries as required, such as the presentation of scientific evidence and medical education
* Lead identification of the scientific exchange needs of Key Opinion Leaders and other HCPs, and identify potential areas of shared scientific interest and advanced partnerships
* In collaboration with the international medical affairs and internal teams:
* Define specific medical programmes and activities (e.g. medical meetings, disease state education, advisory boards)
* Support the development and implementation of medical and KOL plans at country level
* Lead the design and implementation of scientific programmes with external KOLs

Education & Experience Requirements:

* Degree or higher level qualification in medicine, science or nursing
* Previous medical affairs or MSL experience
* Relevant therapy area knowledge or experience
* Experience in designing and leading clinical or research studies preferred
* Knowledge of the relevant British and German promotional regulations (ABPI Code of Practice or equivalent)
