Our client is looking for two Medical Engineers ro provide prompt, high quality and professional engineering support to a broad range of medical equipment.

Responsibilities:

* To ensure equipment is maintained correctly, ensuring patient safety
* Carry out repairs and planned preventative mainteance on equipment as required
* Carry out acceptance testing of new equipment and lean equipment
* Ensure contractual KPI's are met
* Liaise and assist OEM's
* Keep full and accurate records of work carried out
* Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of developments in the field of medical device technoogy
* attend appropriate user, techinical and other training courses, meeting and /or conferences
* Provide guidance and supervision to the technical work of other engineers as appropriate
* Participate in the training of clinical staff as necessary and demostrate the correct, safe and accurate use of medical equipment

Essential Skills:

* HNC/D Electronics or equivalent
* Membership of VRCT
* Advanced electronic skills including test and measurement
* An understanding of Risk Management generally, and the impact on medical device support
* Experience in the repair, callibration and use of general medical equipment
* Good knowledge of appropriate national regulatory standards
* Has attended a range of OEM or other appropriate device specific training works and is in possession of relevant certificates

Desired Skills:

* Mechanical worjkshop skills
* Specialised Medical Engineering experience in at least one high risk clinical area and equipment commonly associated with this area
* Experience in the repair, calibration and use of x-ray and imaging equipment
