We’re seeking a proactive and analytical New Product Launch Planner to utilise our data sources to consolidate our long-term product launch forecasts and support the early-stage operational planning of our new product launches. Initially, you’ll issue SKU-level forecast requests for the new products selected by our portfolio teams, to each of our territories, and consolidate the data to build an accurate picture of the demand. Working closely with our Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial and Packaging Development teams, you’ll use our different streams of data (e.g. market intelligence, sales forecasts, product characteristic details, verified anecdotal information) to develop strategic and practical launch intelligence packs for each product to set solid foundations for the broader New Product Launch (NPL) team to work from. This will include information on product expectations and assumptions, comparisons to branded and competitor products, volume and value forecasts, unit pricing, regional livery and pack preferences, batch size and API requirements, and projected market share. In essence, you will be setting the strategy for the way each product is launched by understanding what our teams need to make it work in their regions and ensuring that our Sites can produce the products as required. From there, you’ll liaise with our Finance and Business Development teams to review and challenge our cost of goods (COGs), review monthly market forecasts to understand market share and timing requirements and work collaboratively with the NPL team to ensure all launches run smoothly and support with any queries or troubleshooting.
With previous experience working within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector, you’ll have practical operational experience in a similar role and a good understanding of how the industry works. Ideally experienced working in a large, international organisation, you’re used to managing projects, liaising with different departments and coordinating cross-functional teams. You’re highly numerate, commercially-minded and analytical, with good experience of combining different information sources and manipulating data to draw out meaning and action points. With strong organisation skills, you’re happy managing your own workload to meet conflicting deadlines, used to changing priorities and have a keen eye for detail, even under pressure. Known for your excellent interpersonal and communication skills (in written and spoken English), you’re confident liaising with people at all levels and able to navigate cultural differences seamlessly. You’re happy working independently, but also a good team player – always ready to support your colleagues and pick up tasks to get things done. Ideally you’ll hold a degree-level qualification in a relevant subject, but the right experience and skillset is more important. With excellent IT skills across Microsoft Office, you’ll possess intermediate Excel skills (i.e. v-lookups, pivot tables, complex formulas) and have a working knowledge of an ERP system, such as SAP.
