Technical Skills Trainer - South East/Cambridge

An excellent opportunity to join an exciting new team build within a rapidly growing medical devices company as it launches its next-generation robotic system for universal keyhole surgery. As a technical skills trainer you will be an integral part of the Clinical Education team and will be responsible, primarily, for delivering system training sessions to surgical teams, as well as ensuring the competent setup and operation of the robotic system and providing product knowledge support to those teams during their initial proctored cases. You will also play a crucial role in establishing an internal training programme for the training and education of new employees.

The ideal candidate for the role of the Technical Skills Trainer will have/be:

* Relevant experience working either as an industry representative or healthcare professional in an operating room environment
* An appreciation of best clinical practice and the challenges of working in surgery
* Knowledge of a surgical environment, terminology, common surgical procedures (ideally minimally invasive procedures)
* Knowledge of the healthcare industry and trends
* The ability to build relationships with key customers and opinion leaders
* A clear and concise writing and presentation style, particularly when describing technical content
* Comfortable working with highly technical material with a strong ability to present this complex material in clear, simple terms
* Experience in curriculum design/training facilitation and/or Instructional Design (preferred)
* Friendly, generous and able to contribute to a team environment
* The ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and use MS Office applications
* The ability to research, gather, digest and summarise technical matter (both clinical and technical)
* Willing to be flexible and carry out extensive global travel when needed

While ultimately you may spend much of your time deployed to hospitals or learning centres, you should be prepared to spend the majority of your time at their Cambridge, UK headquarters for at least the first 3 months of your time at the company.
