Specialist Nurse Advisor - Respiratory - Hampshire

An exciting opportunity to join a successful independent service provider which focuses its work on the effective creation and implementation of key healthcare strategies to deliver measurable outcomes on behalf of UK and Global clients. They are currently expanding their National Respiratory teams and are looking for full time nurses to deliver the highest quality of care to improve patient outcomes in line with local and national guidelines working in primary care. You will perform patient audits, deliver specialist clinics and provide mentorship and support to general practice staff. This role will offer a highly competitive package for the right candidate.

The key responsibilities of the Specialist Nurse Advisor will be:

* To achieve satisfactory service levels across the project as defined by the client and in addition achieve their key performance indicators, sharing ideas with the team on maximising outputs
* The improvement of the patient experience including initiating measures to improve services provided
* To ensure infection control measures are taken and that patients are always given the highest priority
* To report to the Director of Nursing and your Nurse Manager patient safety initiatives in relation to adverse events/adverse drug reactions
* To lead by example, ensuring high standards of clinical practice and compliance with professional codes of conduct and professional regulation
* To assist the Nurse Manager where applicable with training and supporting new Nurse Advisors to the Company
* To run clinics autonomously and be responsible for the passing on of relevant clinical information to the data controller within the GP practice/hospital

The ideal candidate for the role of the Specialist Nurse Advisor will have/be:

* An RGN Part 1 NMC Register
* A minimum of 5 years' experience managing respiratory conditions
* Ideally both COPD and Asthma diplomas or equivalent experience
* Experience in spirometry (essential)
* An ARTP qualification (desirable)
* The ENB 998 teaching and assessing course or equivalent
* A full driving licence
* Able to commit to a FULL-TIME role
* High professional clinical standards and be a strong team worker
* Good organisation, planning and communications skills
